Biostatistics
Learn the statistics you need to analyse health data, evaluate diagnostic tests and read research with confidence.
Biostatistics gives you the tools to collect, summarise, analyse and interpret health and laboratory data.
You will learn types of data, sampling and data presentation, then descriptive statistics, probability and probability distributions. You will move on to estimation and hypothesis testing, t-tests and ANOVA, chi-square and non-parametric tests, correlation and regression, and survival analysis.
The course applies these methods to diagnostic test evaluation, reference intervals, quality control and epidemiology, and shows you how to use statistical software and report results.
