How to conduct physical examination

Key Learning Objectives:
By studying this lesson (available in the PowerPoint file: “Physical examination”), you will be able to:

    1. Perform systematic physical examinations using inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation techniques

    2. Identify normal and abnormal findings across major body systems (cardiovascular, respiratory, abdominal, neurological)

    3. Select and use appropriate examination tools (stethoscope, otoscope, reflex hammer, etc.) correctly

    4. Document physical assessment findings using standardized clinical formats

    5. Integrate examination results with patient history to form comprehensive clinical judgments
