MRC BEACON Award for clinical researchers in the North of England
The MRC Regional Account for Clinical Researchers is offering BEACON Awards of up to £50,000 to fund protected research time. The award is open to registered doctors, dentists, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists and healthcare scientists who hold a PhD or MD. Professional doctorates do not count.
It funds up to 50% protected time over 12 months, to help you restart or keep up your research. Applicants must be sponsored by one of the scheme's partner universities in the North of England. The call requires research that falls within the MRC remit, and approval from the applicant's local BEACON university lead before submission.
